Portraits – some first attempts

I spent some time yesterday with my very good friend Wade, and he was kind enough to let me take some pictures of him. They are really my first attempt at portraiture and I thought you all might like to see them.

Looking pensively into middle distance.

With lovely natural smile.

With new harmonica.

I like how the camera focuses sharply on Wade but softly on the background, you don’t get that sort of depth of field with point and shoot cameras. I hope to do some more portraiture, I really like it doing it and I really love the results.
