It has been a little while since I posted last. It’s winter here in Melbourne, and while it’s not cold enough for snow or anything, it’s still cold enough for me to want to stay inside with a knee blanket.
I had a small launch celebration with some friends for the release of Carter and Carter Detective Agency. We did a murder mystery game that I bought from an Etsy store. It was set in a ski lodge so I used the opportunity to theme the meal around that; we had hot chocolate, cheese fondue, beef and Guinness stew, and chocolate pudding.
I also asked attendees to wear their best Nordic inspired jumpers, or ugly jumpers, though we didn’t leave our hats and gloves on inside since it was too warm with all those people and the heater going (I’ve cropped out people’s faces in the photos below to protect their privacy, but I hope you get the vibe).

I’ve been quietly working away on the follow up to Pillion for a Police Officer, another story set in San Destino. It’s as yet untitled, but it features Jason Bell, a rookie cop who appeared in Pillion for a Police Officer, getting his own romance story.
My aim is to release the new book before the end of the year, so keep your eyes peeled here and on my socials for more information.
I’m also planning to head back to Confest for the Spring festival. The Life Drawing Tent was a roaring success, we had probably over 100 models come through and more than half were new to modelling. Though Spring is a smaller festival, we’re keen to be there and establish our protocols and presence in the tent. If you’re interested in some of our fundraising activities, feel free to check out our LinkTree.
I hope to see you all at an event, or maybe at a market when I start attending those again in the warmer weather. What are you all doing in the cooler months?
