I mentioned in my last post that I’ve been working on a sequel to my San Destino story, Pillion for a Police Officer. I can now announce that my new story, A Wolf of His Own, is set for release 15 November 2025.
Set in the same magical town of San Destino, California, this story follows Jason Bell, a rookie cop trying to find his place, and Roman Eldritch, a bartender and wolf-shifter who has been rebelling against his heritage.
For those who have read the first book, you’ll remember Jason Bell as Riley Holmes’s trainee, a blond with a small frame and elven features. Roman is new to this story, and works at Jack’s Bar on Providence Pier. He’s tall, dark, broad shouldered and hairy (full disclosure these are my preferred heroes so I mostly wrote him for me, though I do love a ginger).
When they meet, Jason knows nothing about the weird happenings in San Destino or any of the paranormal populations living there, but he knows there’s something about Roman’s roguish charm that he’s falling for.
I don’t have a cover to show you yet, the designers are busy creating that in the background. The novella will be available as a stand-alone in ebook and paperback. I’m planning to make a box set of the two San Destino novels in the future too and I’ll let you all know when that’s ready.
It’s cold and fresh today in Melbourne, and while the weather remains frosty, we’re getting longer days which is nice. I hope you’re all staying warm (or cool if you’re in summer).
